Deep Water Installation Vessel Island Victory beat all records of towing power this week. During the bollard pull test by VARD a towing power of 477 tonnes was measured! The next on the list for similar vessels measured a bollard pull of 423 tonnes at delivery.

“We had expected that Island Victory would show us her powers, but 477 tonnes was more than we could hope for! This is a vessel that will perform heavy towing, install equipment on great ocean depths and in addition have room for complete anchor systems on deck,” says Managing Director of Island Offshore Management AS, Tommy Walaunet.

“Now we are looking forward to taking delivery of Island Victory so that we can present this grand vessel and all her capacities to our customers.”

Island Victory is in other words a multifunctional vessel which can be utilized both for pre laying of anchor systems, installation of subsea equipment on the sea floor, maintenance of wells, anchor handling as well as being used as accommodation vessel.
