Island Offshore is a leading provider of high-quality solutions for the offshore oil industry.

As a ship owner, we have a distinct objective to maintain and operate our fleet in accordance with national and international laws and regulations, particularly concerning Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Therefore, all employees shall be highly qualified and perform with the highest operational standards and professionalism in all areas.

The Group

The Island Offshore Group is privately owned and comprises a group of ship-owning and management companies. The Group is currently operating a fleet of 20 vessels ranging from Walk to work vessels, Platform Supply vessels, Anchor Handling Vessels, Well Stimulation vessels, Subsea Construction Vessels to Light Well Intervention Vessels. The latest addition is the record-breaking Deep Water Installation vessel Island Victory.

Island Offshore Management AS was established in 2004. The company’s management system has been developed in compliance with the guidelines from Det Norske Veritas and is certified by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate according to the ISM code. The company is furthermore certified according to ISO 9001 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard. Island Offshore holds an Acknowledgement of Compliance from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority for two of the Riserless Light Well Intervention Vessels and UK Safety Case in cooperation with TIOS for one Riserless Light Well Intervention Vessel.

Strategic cooperations

Island Offshore Subsea AS (IOSS) was established in 2005 as the Technology and Engineering Company within the Group and developed proprietary methods and designs related to Light Well Intervention, Subsea P&A and Riserless Coiled Tubing. In March 2018, TechnipFMC signed an agreement with Island Offshore to acquire 51% of the shares in IOSS. The two companies entered into a strategic cooperation to deliver RLWI services worldwide. As a result, Island Offshore Subsea AS was renamed to TIOS AS and is now the operating unit for TechnipFMC’s and Island Offshore’s RLWI activities worldwide.

Since 2004 to the present, Island Offshore, in partnership with FMC and Aker Solutions, has become the leading supplier of Light Well Intervention services in the world and is providing services to Equinor, Shell, Total, Vår Energi and other leading oil companies.

The main objective of Island Offshore is Safe and Sustainable operations, in order to create value for stakeholders including owners, customers, employees and the society overall.
