Island Ventures II LLC, a partnership between Edison Chouest Offshore and Island Offshore, have signed a contract with Ulstein Verft AS for the construction of a Multi Purpose Construction Vessel of the SX-121 design. The vessel, which will be delivered in May 2014, will be an extended version of the successful sister vessels Island Constructor and Island Intervention. She will have bed space for 130 persons, 250 ton crane and is prepared for a Module Handling Tower. Special emphasis have been put into designing a safe working deck with ample freeboard and also a heavy lift deck with lower freeboard to make this vessel a perfect “Cross Over” between through-moon-pool activities and over-the-side crane work.
We have great expectations for the vessel and are confident that she will become a success for the owners.
It has become a tradition among Island Offshore employees to give their Christmas gift from the company to a charitable organization.
This is the fourth year that the employees offer such a contribution. Earlier organizations to receive this gift include “Frelesarmeen”, “Kreftforeningen”, and ”Redningsselskapet”.
On the 12th of December, Elin Staveli and Karl Petter Hove from “Norsk Luftambulanse” visited the Island Offshore office in Ulsteinvik to receive the significant contribution of NOK 400.000. Both Elin and Karl Petter expressed gratitude on behalf of Norsk Luftambulanse and were highly grateful for the gift offered by the Island Offshore employees.

Island Offshore has agreed a new 2 year contract for the SCV Island Pioneer with Ocean Mexicana SA de CV. The vessel has been working for OM since delivery in April 2006 and the new contract will go in direct continuation with the current contract.
The vessel is of P101 Ulstein Design and is equipped with DP II, a 140 ton offshore crane and accommodation facilities for 87 persons. The vessel will perform a variety of subsea and light construction work during this charter.

On September 28th Marine Accurate Well ASA took delivery of the semi-submersible rig Island Innovator from Cosco Shipbuilding Group. This marks a significant milestone for Maracc and Island Offshore!
The rig will arrive in Norway in January 2013 and commence a 12 well campaign for Lundin Norway in 2nd quarter 2013.
At 1330 hrs today Island Offshore took delivery of the 21’st vessel in the fleet. Island Contender is of design UT 776 CDG and equipped for operating on gas alone.
Christening of the vessel was performed earlier, therefore a small ceremony with change of flag was held in Brevik today.
Island Contender is the sistership to Island Crusader delivered in may.
Fuel consumption measurements shows that it was correct to go for this configuration, 2 larger gas engines which can be used alone or together in all operational situations, and 2 diesel engines if more power is required. With the actual prices on gas and gasoil it is a considerable saving to utilize gas, and from the environmental point of view it is much better.
The vessel has no contract yet. In a few days, after onboard preparations, she will be ready for duties in the Offshore supply market.
IO continues to expand our business and has several new buildings under construction which will be added to our fleet in the near future.
In addition to the offshore vessel operations our business comprises the management and subsea services carried out by Island Offshore Management AS in Ulsteinvik and Island Offshore Subsea AS in Stavanger.
Island Offshore has declared an option with STX OSV Brevik to build 2 medium size PSV`s type UT 717 CD. These vessels will become number 3 & 4 in the series and they will be delivered in November 2013 and February 2014.
The hulls will be delivered from STX OSV Braila in Romania and completed at STX OSV Brevik. Total contract value is approximately NOK 500 mill.
These vessels will be identical with the first two vessels on order with the exception that they will have fire fighting class FiFi-II instead of FiFi-I. Overall length of each vessel is 84,3 meters with a beam of 17 meters. Deadweight is approximately 3800 DWT.
These vessel are being built towards the international market and confirms our determination to take a leading position in this market segment. We look forward to expanding our long term relationship with STX OSV.
Today, Island Offshore took delivery of the MV Island Crusader from STX OSV, Brevik.
It is the 20th vessel in the fleet that is operated by Island Offshore Management AS and it is the 7th of the UT 776 type.
Without using diesel
This is hull no. 765 and has the designation UT 776 CDG, where G stands for gas operation. It is the first offshore supply vessel in the world to operate in DP II without using diesel.
Build at STX
The hull was built at STX OSV Braila, Romania and equipped at STX OSV in Brevik.
Island Offshore and the North Sea RLWI Alliance have been awarded two contracts for Well Intervention Services by Statoil, contingent on partner approval.
The contracts are for the Light Well Intervention Units Island Frontier and Island Wellserver, both contracts commencing 2015. Both units are currently on contract with Statoil, Frontier since 2006 and Wellserver since 2009.
The approx. value of the contracts commitments are NOK 3,3 billion for the fixed five year period. Options will come in addition to this with a value of NOK 7,6 billion.

The main duty for the vessel is anchor handling and associated work including ROV operations, and the vessel will commence her charter 1st of June 2012.

Island Frontier has been awarded Well Intervention Team 2011 in Statoil. The price is awarded for best planned intervention in cooperation with Statoil.

Island Offshore is pleased to announce that the Island Captain have been chartered as a well stimulation vessel by Halliburton AS for a 2 months firm contract.
The vessel will be operating on the Clipper South field in the Southern North Sea. The Island Captain is with this joining Island Commander and Island Patriot as the 3rd well stimulation vessel from IO, with a 4th vessel going into operation in January 2013.
We are very happy to have made this deal with Halliburton and feel confident that the vessel will perform to the charterers’ expectations.
Island Offshore have entered into a contract with the STX OSV Brevik yard to build a Sub Sea Support Vessel of the UT 737 CD design.
The vessels main parameters will be 96 m loa, 21 m beam and will have accommodations for approx. 70 persons.
She will be outfitted with complete handling systems for 2 WROV and have a 125 tons active heave compensated subsea crane. The vessel will be delivered in February 2014.
On Thursday the 16th of February, Island Offshore (IO) took delivery of the MV Island Captain, the newest addition the growing IO fleet. The godmother for the vessel is Mrs. Tonje Tiley from ConocoPhillips.
The MV Island Captain’s sister vessel, the MV Island Centurion was delivered in October 2011. The two vessels are number 5 and 6 in the series of UT 776 CD design vessels built at STX OSV Brevik.
The two vessels will commence a 7 year firm contract plus options with Schlumberger as well stimulation vessels in 2013, and will undertake a major mobilsation prior to this.
We are extremely happy with this award which is a result of our focus towards this specialized segment. Island Patriot and Island Commander are currently engaged as well stimulation vessels.
