Anchor handling

Island Offshore operates 2 mid size AHTS vessels with UT 787 CD design both delivered from Aker Langsten in 2007. The vessels are equipped for deep water anchor handling with fully integrated work ROV support. The vessels also undertake heavy duty mooring and subsea installation work including pre-laying of chain and synthetic rope at deep water.

Both vessels are highly versatile and equipped with a moon pool and heave compensated A-frame enabling a variety of light construction work including trenching, P&A work, IMR and survey work.

In addition Island Offshore has a Deep Water Installation Vessel under construction, due for delivery in 2016. The new vessel will be named Island Victory and will be equipped with a 250 tons offshore crane, two ROV’s and a large moon pool, enabling it to perform deep water subsea installation work. With a bollard pull in excess of 400 tons the vessel can also be used for heavy anchor handling duties.

A breadth of about 25 metres and a length of about 123 metres gives Island Victory a deck capacity of 1100 square metres. Thus the vessel will be able to load whole anchor sets on deck which will make it ideal for pre laying anchors.

The crew onboard our vessels is highly skilled with an impressive track record within anchor handling and subsea construction work. The crew is of crucial importance in offering a safe and efficient service to our clients.
